In this year, I have honored my hunger for creativity. I have a deep delight that comes with sewing and this year I’ve honored it, listened to it, and fed it by making physical space and time to play with fabric, patterns, and notions.

Because of this year, I now believe that we must participate in our democracy and political institutions if we want them to protect us and reflect our values. We can’t check out during the four years between casting a ballot for a president. We must stay active, tuned in, and vocal if we want to have an ever more just nation.

To reflect on my year, I will take a fresh journal with me on my November travels and dedicate time to reconnecting to myself.

My favorite end-of-year tradition is Savor.

In 2017, it will be time for MARRIAGE! Wha? Yes, I’m kicking the year off with a wedding, which I’m excited about and a marriage that I’m over the moon about to a man I’m head over heels for. It’s a sacred threshold I’m crossing with clarity, choice, and reverence.
